I know...

Hi there everyone!

Well we have had a bit of an exciting month. I had my tonsils out along with everything else that an ENT services. Then just as I was almost healed I was re-admitted for bleeding. All is well with me now but Joe had his sinus clean out surgery this past Wednesday. He is doing ok, but still in a lot of pain and just sleeping a lot.

Now for what you all check the website for… Natalie. She is getting very big and just a little pistol. She wants to pick out her own clothes, her own meals and would like to cook them if we would let her.

Just pictures today!

Nothing really new to report. Natalie is still being Natalie, getting smarter everyday. She has decided she wants to be an astronaut.

Ok, so Friday turned into Tuesday...

To all that have sent email's asking… Joe is just fine. He had some additional tests and he just seems to have a high ANA. He is now white water rafting down the Colorado with his brother in laws and his Dad.

And then there is Natalie… she is just a funny, funny little girl. She loves her shoes and her bags. Last night she went to bed at 8… a little early but it gave me time to put away some clothes and clean up a bit. At about 8:45 I hear this thud…. I tip toed over to her room… she had gotten out of her bed… gone to her closet pulled out her Dora back pack, put 2 pair of shoes in it and some underpants and shirts and was headed into my room. I asked her where she was going and she said that she was going to live in Mommy's room until Daddy got back. Too sweet!

As for me. I am doing well. I am an official college graduate and have signed up to participate in the Accenture Olympic triathlon in August. I am training like a mad woman. Tuesday is swimming, Wednesday is a run, Thursday is a bike, Friday is a walk, Saturday is a long run and Sunday is a Swim and a bike. I am having a great time and Joe is a great support.

Now what you all have been waiting for… pictures.

Little Miss Smarty Pants

The wonderful age of 2

Natalie has moved to a new room and while she is loving it she is having trouble listening. In fact, she went to the office 3 times in one day this week. She will not sleep more than an hour at nap time and then will go around waking all of her friends. She has also started kicking us when we try to change her clothes… not good. So this week she was kicking Joe and he told her that if she did not stop that she was going to go to time out. She looked right at him and kicked him again. Needless to say, little miss went to time out. She was there until she would say sorry for kicking Daddy… that stubborn child sat there for 45 minutes crying and saying "not sorry" and then finally said… "I am done crying, sorry Daddy" Got down and played until she was ready for bed.

This may be a long year!

Ready????

WOW! Over a month… sorry. A lot has gone on.

First we went to Dallas. My parents had a party to show off Natalie and she did not disappoint. She performed great. Unfortunately Joe and I were both sick. I was well by the time we got home but Joe was still pretty sick. He thought he was feeling well enough the following week and went for a bike ride… BIG MISTAKE! He ended up even sicker than before. He had a chest x-ray and was told that they could not get a clear enough picture and needed to a CT scan. When that came back he was given the all clear on his lungs BUT not for his liver. There seemed to be some blood pooling in his live for an unknown reason, the doctors took 5 vials of blood and sent him for an ultrasound. We got the results from the blood work and the US this week and the liver now seems to be clear but there is a problem with his blood work and now they seem to think he has an autoimmune issue. He goes on the 16th for more information on that. I will let you all know when we do.

While all of the above was going on we were also dealing with my Grandmother dying. She had an infection that started in her foot and just continued to go through her. My mother took some time off of work and stayed by her side along with my moms brothers and sister. They were all with her when she passed on March 13th. My father, being the numbers guy he is, figured out that she lived 4 days longer than my fathers mother who passed away in '99. The worst part of losing my Grandmother was that Natalie will never know her as I did. She loved Natalie more than anything and Natalie adored her GreatGram. At the funeral home as the family was saying their last goodbyes Natalie was holding her Yum Yum's (M&M's) and decided that she would lay some next to GreatGram for when she woke up from her nap since we were not going to be there when she got up. GreatGram will be missed a lot.

As for Natalie's health…. It seems as though her immune system is kicking in and has fought the infection. She is sleeping and the coughing is now minimal.

We have new neighbors that have a daughter that is 1 year and 2 days younger than Natalie. Natalie has not grasped that Emma is younger. We are having a great time with them but miss the old neighbors, Kyle, Kelly and Karsyn.

I just got back from a wonderful vacation with my mother in law and 2 sister in laws. We went to a spa in Phoenix called Camel Back Inn. It was nice to just relax by the pool and spend some down time with them.

Here are Natalie's latest pictures.

Here are some pictures from my trip
