Ready????

WOW! Over a month… sorry. A lot has gone on.

First we went to Dallas. My parents had a party to show off Natalie and she did not disappoint. She performed great. Unfortunately Joe and I were both sick. I was well by the time we got home but Joe was still pretty sick. He thought he was feeling well enough the following week and went for a bike ride… BIG MISTAKE! He ended up even sicker than before. He had a chest x-ray and was told that they could not get a clear enough picture and needed to a CT scan. When that came back he was given the all clear on his lungs BUT not for his liver. There seemed to be some blood pooling in his live for an unknown reason, the doctors took 5 vials of blood and sent him for an ultrasound. We got the results from the blood work and the US this week and the liver now seems to be clear but there is a problem with his blood work and now they seem to think he has an autoimmune issue. He goes on the 16th for more information on that. I will let you all know when we do.

While all of the above was going on we were also dealing with my Grandmother dying. She had an infection that started in her foot and just continued to go through her. My mother took some time off of work and stayed by her side along with my moms brothers and sister. They were all with her when she passed on March 13th. My father, being the numbers guy he is, figured out that she lived 4 days longer than my fathers mother who passed away in '99. The worst part of losing my Grandmother was that Natalie will never know her as I did. She loved Natalie more than anything and Natalie adored her GreatGram. At the funeral home as the family was saying their last goodbyes Natalie was holding her Yum Yum's (M&M's) and decided that she would lay some next to GreatGram for when she woke up from her nap since we were not going to be there when she got up. GreatGram will be missed a lot.

As for Natalie's health…. It seems as though her immune system is kicking in and has fought the infection. She is sleeping and the coughing is now minimal.

We have new neighbors that have a daughter that is 1 year and 2 days younger than Natalie. Natalie has not grasped that Emma is younger. We are having a great time with them but miss the old neighbors, Kyle, Kelly and Karsyn.

I just got back from a wonderful vacation with my mother in law and 2 sister in laws. We went to a spa in Phoenix called Camel Back Inn. It was nice to just relax by the pool and spend some down time with them.

Here are Natalie's latest pictures.
